This Notice supplements the Privacy Policy for consumer health data. It is intended to provide a clear, separate description of health, fitness, nutrition, wellness, and related information handled by Vantage. It does not waive any right provided by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada consumer-health law, or another applicable law.
1. Consumer health data categories
- Body and demographic inputs used for wellness calculations, including birthdate, sex, height, weight, body-fat estimate, measurements, activity level, and progress photos.
- Nutrition information, including meals, ingredients, recipes, nutrient values, serving sizes, eating goals, food photos, and descriptions, voice recordings, or transcripts you submit, including on Apple Watch.
- Fitness information, including workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weight, duration, distance, effort, notes, programs, goals, trends, and records.
- Wellness and behavior information, including habits, coaching conversations, streaks, adherence, goals, and obstacles you choose to describe.
- Inferences and outputs derived from those inputs, including calorie and macro targets, estimated energy needs, estimated strength values, progress trends, plan suggestions, and AI-generated responses.
- Heart rate read from Apple Health on Apple Watch during a workout, if you allow Apple Health access. It is shown on the watch and saved by Apple with the workout in Apple Health; Vantage does not store it in its own records or cloud database.
- Data from any other health platform, wearable, or connected service only if you deliberately connect it and grant the requested permission.
2. Sources
Consumer health data comes from you, from calculations based on your entries, from a device or service you choose to connect, and from processors that return a result for a feature you request. Vantage does not purchase consumer health profiles from data brokers.
3. Why Vantage collects and uses it
- Provide the tracking, calculation, personalization, visualization, sync, recovery, export, and support functions you request.
- Return optional AI, nutrition lookup, transcription, speech, photo-reading, coaching, or plan-generation results that you deliberately initiate.
- Protect account and data integrity, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with law.
- Create de-identified or aggregated reliability information where permitted and not reasonably linkable to a person.
4. Who may receive it
Vantage does not sell consumer health data. It is not disclosed for advertising or to data brokers. Depending on the feature you request, limited data may be processed by Supabase (authentication, cloud storage, sync, and server functions), Anthropic (Sherpa and image/text generation tasks), OpenAI or ElevenLabs (optional speech and transcription), device speech providers, or public nutrition sources. These recipients are described more fully in the Privacy Policy.
A processor acting only on Vantage’s instructions is not given permission to use the data for its own unrelated purpose. Vantage may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect a person, legal right, or the Service. If applicable law requires consent separate from collection consent for a disclosure, Vantage will request that separate consent before the disclosure.
5. Your consent and controls
Vantage separately asks for affirmative consent to collect and use the consumer health data you choose to enter for core tracking, personalization, storage, sync, and export. Accepting the Terms is not that consent. Optional device permissions and optional provider-backed actions remain under your control. You may withdraw consent prospectively by stopping the relevant feature, revoking a permission, deleting the data, clearing local data, deleting your account, or contacting Vantage. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully.
6. Consumer health data rights
- Confirm whether Vantage is collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data and access the data, where applicable.
- Receive a list of third parties or affiliates to which applicable consumer health data was shared, where required.
- Withdraw consent and request deletion, including deletion communicated to processors where required.
- Appeal a refusal of a request by replying to the decision or contacting the address below.
- Exercise a right without unlawful discrimination. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law allows it and authority can be verified.
7. How to exercise rights
Use the in-app export, deletion, and permission controls or email contact@vantage.support. Describe the request and the account email, if any. Vantage may take reasonable steps to verify identity and authority. If a request is denied, the response will explain how to appeal where required.
8. Changes and contact
Vantage will not collect or use a new category of consumer health data, or use existing data for a materially new purpose, without the disclosure and consent required by law. Contact contact@vantage.support with questions or requests.
